Hello! It's the most wonderful time of the year again, thank you for writing for me! I haven't participated in Yuletide for several years now (as you can probably tell by the sorry state of this blog, rip)  I'm excited to get back into it. Writing for someone you may not know is daunting, so I've put some of my general likes/dislikes and more info about the pairings I requested under the cut.  I'm sure I'll enjoy reading whatever you come up with, and I hope you enjoy creating it!

LOOK AT HOW NORMAL YUKI'S FACE LOOKS ITS A MODERN SCIENTIFIC MIRACLE!! Not even the original mangaka could achieve this, we've been full-on Banana Fish'd and I for one am grateful to our new, proportion-aware overlords

 FRIENDS! I'm in need of recs: I've been reading a series lately that was supposed to be about Court Intrigue and silver-tongued diplomats and fealty, etc. I was really looking forward to it, but the Emperor is bad at Emperor-ing, the diplomat bad at diplomat-ing, and the intrigue like trying to swim laps in a bathtub. I guess Nirvana in Fire and the Goblin Emperor (and Astolat's Witcher fic, let's be real) have spoiled me for good, twisty political plots, because I keep yelling YOU CAN'T DO THAT and tearing at my hair. Have you read and books or fics with good courtly shenanigans that you could rec to save me from shouting at this dumbass Emperor who just sort of forgot that someone in his cabinet was selling confidential military intel that got his fiance kidnapped. (HE LITERALLY NEVER BRINGS IT UP AGAIN WHAT THE FJUCKSJSHSSDFLF) 

 Hello from the frozen North! I've been a bit MIA travelling home for Christmas, doing family things, and playing with the dog as much as possible, oops. I somehow managed to miss the main Yuletide posting (Y I K E S @ MYSELF HOW DID THIS HAPPEN) but I did slip a treat into the Madness collection just  under the wire even if I'm not entirely happy with it :/ I'm feeling INCREDIBLY spoiled by the 3!!!!!!!!!! whole gifts!!!!!! I got, and by the fics on offer this year, so here's some of the stuff I read and loved! I'll go back and edit the authors once they've been revealed~

Hello new friending meme friends! I'm SJ, I've been in fandom for ~10 years ever since my friend caught me writing HP fic in a spiral-bound notebook during health class and shoved me face-first into Mugglenet. I've spent most of my fannish time in The Pit, lurking on Omona/various Yunjae fic comms, and obsessively reading Dramabeans. I read pretty widely and constantly, from SFF and Romance novels to webnovels to fic to manga. I like podcasts and Asian dramas, though the only ones I've watched particularly recently are Nirvana in Fire and Guardian. I'm currently living in Japan, so I've fallen back into a lot of old anime/manga fandoms (Hikaru no Go anyone?) but I feel like revisiting old fandoms has been pretty common over the past few years in the absence of one Big Unifying Fandom (the last Big One in my corner of the internet was probably Yuri on Ice) . I'm aiming to post on here more regularly to get back into the swing of a journal-style platform, hopefully at least once a week, though it depends on my work schedule! 

Anyway, feel free to drop by and talk with me about your fandom origin stories, a Comfort Fandom you've found yourself sliding back into recently, the new Fruits Basket anime happening (I CANNOT BELIEVE),  shoujou comic recs, or just to say hi! 

 Hey! Been a while since I posted here, but I wanted to keep up the practice of reccing a top ten for all the books I read this year. I READ 100 BOOKS IN 2017! IT WAS A LOT. I'm setting my goal for 2018 back at fifty imao, a hundred was a little too much stress. I was spoiled for good writing though, so here are the top ten I loved!

 Hello! It's been roughly a geological era since I posted here, but twitter doesn't allow enough characters for the type of screaming that's about to take place, so. Here we are.
