How do we feel about this reboot as a whole though, friends? I'm definitely having an ocean of conflicting emotions, not least of which is squaring up to the fact that tiny!me definitely thought Haru was cool as fuck the first time I read this and watched a truly staggering number of Rin/Haru AMVs set to Kelly Clarkson songs. (A friend asked me who I thought the coolest character would be now, to which I say NO ONE IN THIS SERIES IS COOL, EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING ABOUT FRUITS BASKET IS DESPERATELY UNCOOL.) Revisiting this series is a lot like being slapped in the face with your Junior High School yearbook. April seems too soon for my body to be able to handle this. I can only send fervent, thankful prayers that it's happening after Tumblr melted into a puddle of goo, but it looks like I'm locked into this now, for better or worse!!
