Hello,is it me you're looking for dear writer. Thank you for taking the time to look over this letter, I hope this helps you decide on what to write! I apologize for the overlap with my sign-up, please bear with me.
General Likes & Dislikes:
Likes- all sorts of AU's, but especially myths/legends/fairytales, spies, royalty au's, and tropesmashing. Established relationship fic is great, and I'm a big fan of domestic poly/triad relationships.
Dislikes- infidelity, and anything that interferes with the ability of one party to consent (i.e. amnesia, possession, slave!fic). I'd really like to avoid dark!fic, werewolves/abo fic, and age difference fics.
Notes on Pairings:
1) PK/Carey
a. Roman Holiday was a movie AU made for this pairing!
b. Royal PK and his adviser/handler/security detail Carey
c. Political AU (President PK??? Political Fixer Carey??? WEST WING STAFFER CAREY???)
d. GILMORE GIRLS. (Carey Price is the perfect Luke Danes. Search your heart, you know it to be true.)
Sooooooooooooo many AU's guys. All the AU's. Anything where Carey is stern on the outside and secretly kind of a marshmallow (especially when it comes to PK). Miss Fischer's Murder Mysteries, the Sopranos, Superman/Lois Lane, Star Wars, xxxHolic, Generation Kill, I could go on. Also worth mentioning that If you want to toss Sidney Crosby into the mix in a PK/Sid/Carey polyamory sort of way I am very much on board with this and would encourage you to look up USA's White Collar pilot.
2) Agally/Bgally
a. Post-offseason fic elaborating on how Alex totally Came Back Hot after his crazy summer workouts
b. We've-met-but-we-don't-realize-we've-met AU (I feel like college AU's work well for this? Anyways, it can be a combo of multiple AU's, I just really like this trope.)
c. X-files AU where Bgally is Mulder.
d. Undercover relationship!
Oh lord. I stand by my Rarepairs statement of 'hot messes who fail upwards into adulthood.' They're the perfect pairing to write into sitcom/romcom tropes, what with all the bickering and jealousy. Please don't skew too dark/angsty with them, (it's the holidays after all!) and I'm sure I'll love whatever you choose to write.
3) Julie Chu/Hilary Knight
a. I still maintain a Dirty Dancing AU would be amazing.
b. Hollywood stunt women
c. A Knight's Tale AU aka Hilary as an actual Knight fighting for Chuey's affection
d. Ladies roller derby team
PLEASE NO COMING OUT ANGST. Please. Otherwise i'm super into just about every story for this pairing.
4) Nick Bjugstad/Kyle Rau
a. College hockey fic
b. Something with this post where Bjuggs very seriously contemplates if a stuffed trophy fish will ruin his interior decor.
c. Freaky Friday style body-swap fic (SIZE DIFFERENCE)
d. Epistolary fic for when they're on opposite sides of the country
I'm kind of new to this pairing, but I'm always here for giant sweetheart Bjuggs and tiny scrappy Kyle Rau who will fight anyone. They're one of the few pairing's on my list I think work well for a slightly bittersweet story, with Kyle playing for the Portland Pirates right now and Bjuggs out in Florida. (*whispers* holiday reunion fic) Follow your heart on this dear author!
5) Max Domi/Anthony Duclair
a. Space!!!
b. Nerdy science student Anthony gets bitten by a weird spider and develops superpowers (Max seems more like a Gwen Stacy than an MJ but YMMV.)
c. Fic that heavily features Orion the service dog. Is he Max's daemon? Witches familiar? Does it weird Anthony out that he watches them have sex? Inquiring minds want to know.
d. Sabrina the teenage witch/Domi the teenage witch (aka Magical Domi family AU)
Look, I stand by what I said in my sign-up request; just fuck me up. These are just a few suggestions, take advantage of the fact that I'm a complete newbie to this pairing and write that fic you've been burning to write but haven't got around to, I'm 99% sure I'll be into it.
