Fan Rec Friday 4: Get Recced

Fair warning: the recs for this week are all Hockey RPF fics from this collection (*DBZ VOICE* IT'S OVER 111!!!) but oh, what a collection it is. All the authors will remain anonymous until October 8th, at which time I'll come back and edit the recs to include their names. The recs are in not particular order, and I've probably left out a bunch of excellent ones because there are SO MANY seriously it's like Christmas come early. (Bonus points if you can figure out which one is mine.)
Without further ado-
The Fics:
1. There's A Moon That's Big And Bright by reallyyeahokay (PK/Carey) 4k
I have to start with this one because 1) Someone gifted it to me, because I'm The Luckiest 2) PK AND SID GET MARRIED IN VEGAS BY AN ELVIS IMPERSONATOR. I cannot stress enough how important 2 is, I've been dying over this concept all day. PK seems oddly fine with events, while Carey is Decidedly Not Fine (And Very Definitely Not Pining) and invites PK to escape the media at the family ranch. Honestly everything I could've asked for in a gift.
2. Touch Therapy by darkrosaleen (Jones/Toffoli/Pearson) 3k
Holy casual superpowers Batman! The summary pretty much says it all: Tanner Pearson is catnip for tactile empaths What a beautifully weird Au premise I love it. Toffoli is an empath, Jones is an unknown quantity, Pears is some sort of stabilizer who occasionally skypes Mike Richards for sad feelings talks, and Jonathan Quick is still maybe summoning demons but that's no different than usual. Lowkey superpowers abound, as does happy polyamory and some really nice touches of world-building all squashed into 3k. I want to wrap it around me like a blanket.
3. A Good Morning by butongooddays (Ekblad/ M Mitchell/W Mitchell) 1k
Sweet, tooth-rotting domestic poly fluff. Really atmospheric and lyrical writing. Will leave you smiling hard enough to freak out all the other people at your bus stop.
4.The Long Way Round by gdgdbaby (PK/Tavares) 2k
Some post -2015 NHL Awards porn with so much good hand kink and bonus secret feelings. Super amazing PK characterization, and it's quick but hits all the right spots. Tavares isn't someone I've read a lot of fic for in the past, but I might have to keep an eye out in the future, he's so sweet and pine-y here it's lovely.
5. The City of Saints by 7iris (PK/Carey) 7k
MAGICAL MOTHERFUCKING HEIST AU.
That's it, that's the fic.
6. Many by gigantic (Skinner/Lindholm) 4k
There's some fucked up Walter Mitty realness happening in this fic and I'm really into it? Jeff Skinner's head after two concussions is a strange place, with even stranger dreams. Except the dreams are more like alternate timelines; things that could've happened but didn't. Super interesting concept that I would definitely read more of, but as is it's a wonderful, magical, kind of melancholy little fic.
7. Certain That You Need This by ohtempora (Monahan/Gaudreau) 3k
Weird superpowers are my jam so hard. Jiri Hudler talking to plants is the funniest thing I've read in a long time? Also it's nice to read a fic where psychic's are really blase about their powers and aren't really paying attention to other people's thoughts. Anyways. This fic is funny and weird and delightful. You should give it a chance.
8. What My Secrets Are by brezcu (Latta/Wilson) 4k
Fives times Latts and Wilson keep weird fucking secrets from each other and one time they tell each other how they really feel. I was actually crying laughing at several points in this, these two are such disaster adults and their secrets are so random and bizarre. The author has a really great comic voice and basically everything about this fic is great so. Yunno. Go check it out.
9. Come And Knock On My Door by meerminne (Flower/Letang/Perron) 2k
WHO YA GONNA CALL??? The Ghostbusters AU that I never could have dreamed of but so desperately needed. I want to sent this author a fruit basket, this was fucking fantastic. Hilarious and great, which is what you expect when Actual Ray Of Sunshine Fleury is one of your main characters. This fic has such great sense of humor, and the three of them fit together so easily I love their dynamic to pieces.
10. You And I Got Lost In It by blamefincham (Strome/McDavid) 6k
Adorable fake-dating fic. I'm such a sucker for the whole Best-Friends-Who-Are-Practically-Married-But-Secretly-Pining trope, and this fic just nails it. Sweet, tiny gestures that pile up to something bigger, a little bit of pre-trade separation anxiety, and all the Id-punching greatness that comes with fake dating for Great Justice. Two thumbs up.
