Yuletide Letter 2019

Dear Author,

Hello! First things first: thank you for writing for me! I know that this time of year is a busy time for everyone, but you still signed up to write for Yuletide and I think that's beautiful :') I'm sure I'll enjoy reading whatever you come up with, and I hope you enjoy creating it! Writing for someone you may not know is daunting though, so I've put some of my general likes/dislikes and more info about the pairings I requested under the cut.

General Likes: I'm a huge sucker for all sorts of au's! I love seeing how the original canon can be remixed, and I adore stacking tropes on top of each other. Some of my favorites are spy au's, royalty au's, myths/legends/fairytale au's, magic au's,and space au's. I'm a big fan of established relationship fic too, both in canon, and outside of it. I love all iterations of Fake Dating, whether it be for Spy Reasons, or I Need To Impress My Ex Reasons. Secret Dating, Clothes Sharing, Found Family, and Magical Realism are all faves too. I'm fine with getting fic of any rating, so if smut is what you want to write, go for it.

General Dislikes: Infidelity, werewolves/ABO fic, age difference, high school au's, vampires, dark!fic, student/teacher, Coming Out Angst, and anything that interferes with the ability of one party to consent (i.e. amnesia, possession, slave!fic)

Specific Fandoms! These sections are things that I'd like to see, but they are optional for you to include/not include as a writer. The prompts are there in case you maybe need an idea to get started. Write the story that is in your heart!

→→→ Hanakoi Tsurane

Honestly this comic is basically a mix of very sweet ''first love'' shojou romance and workplace comedy? Both main characters are such ridiculous people, and somehow very sweet together I love them supporting each other in their acting, and figuring out their relationship together as a team (of idiots, imao). Sougo's pining was delicious, but I'm excited to move forward and see them try to make their new relationship work. Their dramatic but ultimately extremely caring personalities really suit the ~high school first love~ tone of the comic, and I think there's good groundwork for a lot of fun hijinks.

Prompts:

1) Holiday fic! Maybe the boys get roped into their local festival, or have to participate in Sports Day, or some sort of ridiculous fundraiser for the theater! Bonus points if they're dressed up in silly costumes (I'm still sad we got zero Sougo in a maid outfit for the school festival)

2) Fluff/smut fic where they figure out how to be affectionate & have makeouts (or other things) without it having to be Anal or Nothing (why are you like this Isaku sensei).

3) Take-nii and Gensuke's brother fall in love!!

→→→ Whistle!

This series is one of the first manga I ever read, and definitely the first sports manga. It holds a special, nostalgic place in my heart, and I re-read it this fall and really loved it a lot. My favorite characters are Tsubasa, Coach Matsushita, Yuki, Seiji, and Tatsuya BUT especially Shigeki Sato: chaos gremlin of my heart. My ships here are Shige/Tatsu with a bullet, but also Seiji/Katsuro, and Tsubasa/Misaki. There isn't a lot of fic for this fandom, so really I'm just happy for people to poke at these characters and dive into their relationships a little deeper. Everyone is so young in the canon of the story, it would be really interesting to see how they develop as adults.

Prompts:

1) Shige/Tatsuya future fic (possibly set in the Far Future Epilogue at the end of the series, or while Sho is abroad)

2) Characters prepping for/playing in the 2020 Japan Olympics

3) Canon divergence AU Shige goes to live at Tatsuya's instead of at the temple

→→→ Gouhou Drug/Drug & Drop

The premise of this comic has so many incredible possibilities for writers to explore! The comedy potential is absolutely through the roof, with each job a chance to put Kazahaya and Rikuo in silly situations and let them bounce off each other. On the other hand, I think this series also lends itself to ghost-story/creepypasta type stories really well? I'm not interested in the tragic backstories/big overarching plot of the series so much as the side-quests, and the potential there for fun adventures. (And, of course, the romance of Kazahaya and Rikuo: Morosexuals in Residence .)

Prompts:

1) I am a simple idiot who loved the boarding school arc, more cross-dressing and fake dating please.

2) Kakei has a job for them where they have to pretend to work at a host club.

3) Someone gives Kazahaya a phone and he accidentally becomes a Buzzfeed Unsolved-ish tiktok star.

→→→ Cosmoknights

I love this comic for so many reasons: gorgeous art, fun space fantasy storylines, and, most importantly, a big cast of cool queer ladies! I'm honestly just excited thinking about fic of any stripe for it (and you write smut about Cass being BIG and BUTCH and SWEATY I will send you a fruit basket). I'm also super curious about the worldbuilding in the comic. The gladiator-style mecha battles? Knights but they're futuristic pro athletes? A feudalistic system of ruling families spread between planets? Secret space anarchists?  Princesses' Tokens are secret communication devices? There's so much interesting material here I'm really excited to see what people come up with!

Prompts:

1) Cass & Bee backstory! Any piece of it i can get my grubby little hands on, doesn't have to be their first meeting I just love their relationship.

2) Pan and Tara meeting again in the current comics timeline?(Resolution of the vol 1 cliffhanger?!?!?!) I'm super curious to find out what Tara's been up to.

3) Something about the princesses Cass and Bee have rescued? Where do they drop them off? Are the princesses angry? Grateful? Was Bee also a princess? Did Cass and Bee maybe meet Tara and not know it?
